| The visual effects of characters’ skills are an important part of an ARPG. On a purely visual basis, what are your favourite character skill effects in D3? I’ll start with Barb: Call of the Ancients – both entrance and exit of the ‘ancients’ really align with the concept behind, and the exit part stood out particularly because they make a pose before fading away. Seismic Slam – looks very powerful and portraits very well the crushing advance of a Barb. Leap – the energy and might of a fearless Barb. In your face. Suggestions: Wrath of the Berserker – the transformation could be more dramatic, e.g. combine an expanding ring of white smoke/air on the ground (like Wizard’s Wave of Force) with faster animation of pre-level 60 level-up effect in white. Weapon Throw – have a 220-degrees circular arc of semi-transparent axes around Barb on the vertical plane which supply Barb the axes to throw. As Barb grabs one and throws, the circular arc of axes rotates to replenish the empty axe slot while a new axe appear at the other end of the arc – like a revolver kind of effect. | ||

| There are skills that I use a lot and think are visually interesting (like Zombie Bears and Hammer of the Ancients), but one of the cool things about doing public games is seeing skills in use that you normally don't. Seismic Slam - Rumble, Cluster Grenades, and Living Lightning come to mind as some cool skills that I normally don't see or use. | ||
