| My biggest gripe isn't the gameplay or the storyline or the itemization or lack thereof. My biggest gripe isn't about botters or the auction house or how Diablo 3 isn't Diablo 2. My biggest gripe isn't about a lack of character customization or useless skills or any of that. My biggest gripe is the video lag - when you load the game, when you join a group, when you cast a spell, when you do just about anything. This might not be such a huge deal for someone using a top of the line, unaffordable to most other people computer, but for people like me (I use a gaming laptop to play), this really matters. I would like to see more video options that I can turn off or turn down. I don't really care about the glitz and glam. I care about playing the game. I don't care about the poison aura surrounding that witch doctor because he's wielding a Manajuma's set. I don't need to see every single arc of electricity that's emanating from the elite that I am killing. I don't need to see the green haze surrounding the fallen maniacs. I don't care about the puff cloud that is emitted whenever I poke at a bloated corpse in the sewers of Caldeum. I don't care about any of that and I wish that I could turn it completely off or, failing that, at least turn it way down. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there experiencing these issues and I am sure many people are going to respond to this with the suggestion that I just buy a new computer. That simply isn't an option for me. Come on Blizzard, give me some more options. | ||

| Poloxamer , Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. One change you can make that will have the biggest impact on video features used is the hardware setting in the D3Prefs.txt file. We really don't recommend manually changing the setting but I suppose if you want to limit the feature set, you can change the value to "1". This will negate several video effects which may help you, but keep in mind, many of these effects are used to warn you of danger that you will not be seeing any more. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
