Hey Promic - sounds like you're patch looping. If you can get to the options menu > account > Global Play > Check to see which version of the game you are attempting to connect to, and then modify that back from US to EU, or vice versa. The US version is currently patched up to 1.0.8.16603 - if you have a previous version, then you will not be able to connect to US for now until the region you have the game client from has patched later today. If you do have that version, you should only be able to connect to US.
