| To whom it may concern, Since the latest addition to the 1.08 patch I can no longer play this game as the frame rate is god awful. I have an NVIDIA optimus configuration with Intel HD 4000 and NVIDIA Geforce 640M LE which was working perfectly until this latest patch. The games framerate since the patch has made the game completely unplayable. The auction house and main menu screen render just fine. Please fix this Blizzard. Thank you! :) | ||

| DrummerJDM, Can you post your D3Debug.txt file? It's located in the main Diablo III game folder. Edit out your account name first though. It's going to appear in a few places in the file. ________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time "Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.... | DrummerJDM, You're correct in that the Geforce isn't being used by the game. 2013.05.14 19:59:42.961109300 ****** Graphics Device Info ****** 2013.05.14 19:59:42.972770300 nvumdshim.dll Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 Since this issue appears to have started for you with the patch though, you may just need to re-do the setting for the launcher or game that specifies the Nvidia card be used full time. This is typically done by right clicking the icon for the launcher and selecting that option, provided it appears as a selection. ________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time "Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.... | Masterpiecer , Post the same info I asked for in here but in a new thread please. Post your dxdiag info as well. You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. ________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time "Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.... | DrummerJDM, Have you updated video drivers for either the Intel or Nvidia lately? ________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time "Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.... | DrummerJDM, The game doesn't do the graphics switching, the computer controls that via software (driver) settings and hardware features. I haven't seen any other posts yet from people using Optimus so I'm assuming at this point it's something to do with your laptop. What driver release versions do you have installed for the Intel and Nvidia components? Did they come from the laptop manufacturer or from Intel/Nvidia? *edit, we have one other poster now I've yet to start troubleshooting with. ________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time "Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.... | DrummerJDM, I asked our QA department to test out the game (1.0.8) on an Optimus enabled laptop and they could find no problems with the PC switching between graphics devices. The only other poster in this thread with the same problem ended up removing a third party utility he was using called DarkD3 and the issue was resolved for him. Do you happen to be using it too? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
