Of course I doubt it shall ever happen, but what if could choose to help the angels or help Diablo and the other evils corrupt mankind and the heavens? I CANNOT be the only person who has thought of this.

Throwing your hat into the Eternal Conflict ring, are you? Interesting choice, especially for someone who's supposed to be protecting Sanctuary from all that infighting. ;)

While I'm not sure an approach like this would necessarily fit in a game like Diablo III (in terms of how you create your characters, interact with other players, and play through the story), I'm happy to pass on the idea.

But what let's take the discussion even further:

  • First, which side would you take, and why? (This is just a fun thought experiment.)
  • Second, what kind of gameplay differences do you think each would have, and how would you resolve the different sides playing together? Would they be like factions, so you could only play with other people who chose your same side? Would it be PvP-specific, available in Brawling or another map type? Or something else?
