| This is Chillaxin and I'm borrowing an account to apologize to our MvP known as Drothvader. I would like to talk and apologize to him in private but since Diablo 3's forums is one of the very few that doesn't have a private message feature, I'm forced to do it publicly. I would also do it on my own account but it has been suspended. You can see the exact reason for my suspension in this picture here: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x316/fatyblob/HowisthatHarassment_zps0d1d5446.png You can see the entire post that I was suspended for in that picture. The post is from a thread created by Drothvader here: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/8796351621?page=1#13 As you can see in that link, Drothvader quoted my post so you know those are the words I said. But there are a couple things odd about this scenario: How would someone reading that post interpret that as breaking the Code of Conduct, "harassment", or warrant an immediate ban? I bet most people who read that post probably just continued scrolling, after all, there are far better examples of "harassment" all over these forums. It is safe to assume that none of my posts were well recognized as harassment and reported by multiple players using the report option in the top-right of the post. My theory is that Drothvader was offended by the post and brought it to the attention of the authority himself. It is safe to assume Drothvader was offended enough by my post to consider it as harassment. He felt it was a strong enough form of harassment to take action about it. I'm wholeheartedly sorry Drothvader. If anyone can interpret any post I make as "harassment" then I screwed up. I never have any intent to harass anyone! I'm sorry you feel that It was harassment. My post was intended to be sarcastic but definitely not harassment. Please understand that I passionately hate the concept of BOA. When you create multiple threads telling us that "This game needs BOA" you bring out my own passion to debate you. I'm not a professional debater, and sometimes I make mistakes and let my emotions come off too strong. I'll repeat again: I passionately hate BOA. That is why I said the things I did. We do have something in common: We are both passionate about the improvement of Diablo3. That is a great thing! I'm sorry that our ideas clash, but please accept my apology, I did not want to harass anyone. I'm Sorry, Drothvader -- Chillaxin | ||

| Thank you to everyone who's taken the time to post in this thread and give Chillaxin advice. Since the best way to discuss forum account actions is by emailing forum@blizzard.com, I'm going to go ahead and lock this conversation. To clear up a few things, though: If a posting account receives a suspension, it means that the account has been found in violation of either Code of Conduct or our posting guidelines (for one post in particular or a series of posts). Please note that it is not required that an account receive a warning for their behavior; however, shorter suspensions are typically given if an account has never been penalized before. When an account action is handed out, it's never personal. The goal of our Code of Conduct and posting guidelines, as well as any moderation that's carried out by Blizzard is to help make sure that the forums are as construct, civil, and welcoming as possible. In many cases, this can be addressed by locking topics or deleting individual posts; in others, it may be necessary to temporarily suspend someone's posting privileges (though this is something we prefer to avoid). MVPs do not possess any moderation powers nor can they influence how moderation is addressed. As noted, if you ever have any questions about why a particular post was moderated or penalty received, you can always email us at forum@blizzard.com. This inbox is reviewed daily by our moderators and (while a response isn't guaranteed for all emails) you can be sure that if you send something our way we'll take a look. | ||
