Unplayable due to sudden FPS drop(1)Category: Technical SupportMay-3-2013 1:03 PM PDT (10 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
I've been able to play Diablo III just fine since installation, however after a system reboot today, Diablo III's framerate seems to have dropped into the 5-10 frames a second range. I've tried changing in-game framerate options and firewall settings due to my freshly updated antivirus, but nothing seems to be doing a thing for it.

With such a low framerate, I won't be able to do anything in-game due to the lack of precision and timing required for specific battles. Is there something I'm missing, or does the game suddenly hate me now?

Murderisback,

Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)
Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here.

Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder.
