| So my old trusty desktop isn't updating for some reason. Been running on my laptop and desktop for quite a while now, but it's probably been about two weeks since I ran d3 on the desktop. Tried to connect tonight and the launcher is hanging at about 2/3 of the way across 'Updating Blizzard Launcher' So far I've done the following: Verified my internet connection Rebooted the desktop Verified port forwarding in my router Power cycled the router and modem Rebooted the desktop (again) Re-verified local IP address and port forwarding. Along each step of the way I've attempted to launch and opened task manager to see that there isn't any network traffic moving. Did the US West update servers take the night off? | ||

| INeedNoPants Try this: 1. Make sure that Windows is set to show hidden files. Here's how to do that: -Windows Vista/7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Show-hidden-files -Windows 8 http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/show-hidden-files-in-windows-8/ 2. Navigate to the C:\ProgramData folder and delete the Battle.net folder. 3. Navigate to the Diablo III folder and delete the "Updates" folder. 4. Launch Diablo III as an admin by right clicking on the launcher and selecting "Run as admin".
