| Hi. On 5/15/2012 I purchased a MSI GT70, you can probably guess why. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-MSI-GT70-Notebook.74077.0.html The machine has run beautifully for it's ONLY purpose ever since. Not a hiccup until 1.07. Since patch 1.07 I have had some serious lockup issues with my machine. After a full day of gaming the game will seize. It won't shut down, it won't lag out, the game will just stop as my character is in mid-stride. The only thing that I am able to do is CTRL ALT DEL (Alt F4 doesn't work for some reason?) and shut down D3 from the task manager. Windows will continue running and the machine won't hard-reboot or anything This issue has persisted through several D3 re-installations, and it is posing a serious threat to my Hardcore Paragon 96 Witch Doctor's chances of reaching p100. My limited computer knowledge leads me to one of three things: 1. Nvidia drivers need to be updated. 2. SSD is going bad, or is overheating. 3. GPU is going bad, or is overheating. (1) It doesn't make sense to me that I would need to update my drivers to play a game that has been running perfectly on this machine for almost a year. That said, my drivers were outdated (Nvidia released a new driver for the GeForce 670M on 3/15/13) and I have just updated them. (2) It doesn't make sense to me that my SSD is going bad, because Windows continues to run as normal after the D3 application crashes. (3) Sadly, I think this is the problem. Some questions I have: How can I tell if my GPU or Video card is overheating or going bad? I understand there is a difference between a fan going bad and the GPU itself going bad, is there a temperature monitor or log file I can check to make sure that both the GPU and it's fan(s) are running properly? What are the first, second, third, and .....th steps I need to take to confirm that my GPU is overheating or my video card is going bad? Is it possible that it could have just been a driver issue? Even though it makes no sense that the D3 application has run perfectly for almost a year? Very much appreciated, Dio | ||

| Diomedes, Can you post your D3Debug.txt file? It's located in the main Diablo III game folder. Edit out your account name first though. It's going to appear in a few places in the file. | ||
