Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 causes problems?(1)Category: Technical SupportApril-11-2013 12:07 PM PDT (10 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
Installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 for the use of razer comms causes both sc2 and d3 to not load. The error message received says something to the effect of "unsupported graphics card". Is there a specific reason for this?

BH42,

You may just have an unsupported graphics card too or outdated drivers.

Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)
Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here.

Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder.

BH42,

What's the exact error message text?

The only thing I see that might be problematic is you're not using Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 currently.

Also, in case you didn't after updating .Net, reboot the system.

BH42,

Do you by any chance have the game executable or launcher set to use a compatibility mode? If you hit escape when the warning appears, does it continue normally and allow you to play?
