| I have been playing for a while now, but within the last week I have been freezing up multiple times per night. The only way to unfreeze is to pop up my task manager and force quit the "not responding" diablo 3 application. Is this a common issue with anyone else? Is there a way to fix? Like I said, I have been playing a while and it just started lately, should not be my system. | ||

| Shinmaster, I think it can pretty much only be something on your system. If the server were responsible, everyone connected to it would have the problem. Besides, a server issue wouldn't cause your app to stop responding. It might timeout with an error 3005,3006, or 3007 due to a loss of connection or responses from the server but it wouldn't cause an app on your pc to stop responding altogether. The next time it happens, could you post your D3Debug.txt file right afterwards? this way we can see what it was doing at the time it stopped writing to the file which would happen if the game truly locks up. The file is located in the main Diablo III game folder. Edit out your account name first though. It's going to appear in a few places in the file. | ||

| Shinmaster, Are you really using "Windows Server 2003-64 SP2" to play or did you change a compatibility setting to make the game think that's what the OS is? | ||

| Shinmaster, I can't really guarantee anything I suggest is going to help as it's not a supported operating system, but I see you have Nvidia's latest video drivers for the 9800 GT. We're still recommending older drivers from them right now until we've seen the newer ones are working with no issues. For now, I'd try the 306.81 release that you can get here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp64-306.81-whql-driver.html. When installing them, use the Custom and Clean Install options, installing just the graphic drivers and none of the optional components. | ||
