| bigeye, Let's try setting the game to run in windowed mode and see if that lets it start. Since the game's not running, we'll need to edit a file manually to do that. Open your My Documents\Diablo III\D3Prefs.txt file with Notepad. | bigeye, Well, It looks like you're getting the error in Windows 8 actually, not the game. Doing a Google search on "application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware windows 8" shows many articles from people with the same issue on a variety of different games and applications. The number one thing people are trying is reinstalling/updating their video drivers but I don't believe I saw where that actually fixed it for anyone.
