| This might be not technical support problem but i don't think anywhere else more suitable for asking help. My video card is GeForce 470X 3000MB 64 bit Win 7 64bit core i7 Asus mainboard p6X58D premium My CPU already installed 6 fans, 2 infront, 2 behind, 1 big one on top, 1 big one right below the card plus V8 cooler master. Still couldnt cool it down while i play D3. So i open a side of the CPU and put the room fan right straight to it, turn on airconditioner of the room as well. Still heat up too much, to the point that i couldnt keep touching my finger longer than 1s. And it always lead to crash, screen froze while playing ........ Ok so i decided to do some research first about it. I turn on the limit frame to 60, background frame to 1 Check V Sync This improves a bit but still doesnt solve the problem, it only buys extra playing time. And it will end up crash, screen frroze. Then i download the SLI_Enhancement patch which i heard that might help. Again doesnt seem to work either. ........ So here, any advise ? or any solution for the problem ? I also have the same issue with Starcraft II. This make me kind of afraid to buy SCII Heart of the swam, which i really want to buy. Others games are fine. They never make the card heat up like crazy. | ||

| AquaLance, Could you use a temperature monitoring app instead of judging how hot it is by using your finger? Download and run HWMonitor from: http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.21-setup.exe Now start the game and let it run several minutes. Then exit or alt-tab out and see what the highest temperature is that was reached for both the gpu (video card). Report the temp in your reply. Can you also post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. | ||

| AquaLance, Those temperatures aren't unusual at all really. If you're concerned about the gpu temp, you can increase the rpm the video card fan runs at with any number of third party utilities. It's going to be louder though. You can also use the games fps limiter settings to cap the frame rate at a lower value so as not to stress the card so much. I'd also use Nvidia's 306.97 release drivers instead of what you have now. http://www.nvidia.com/object/win8-win7-winvista-64bit-306.97-whql-driver.html | ||
