| I have a GTX 580, 8 gigs of Ram, and an overclocked quad core 3.9GHZ CPU. I've tried tinkering with VSYNC on and off, and nothing seems to work. It will play fine for about five minutes, then just suddenly drop to 30FPS for no reason. If I alt-tab out, and go back in it'll be fine for about five minutes... Then drop again. I know I have more than enough horsepower to run this game (I run Battlefield 3 at max settings, 60FPS) so what could the issue be? | ||

| Mike, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. | ||

| Mike, Try disabling the in-game fps limiters you have enabled currently. Other than that, I'd suggest setting the Nvidia Control Panel 3D settings back to the factory defaults in case you've made any changes to them. | ||
