| My first two hardcore Demon Hunters didn't have long lives, but my third one had a bit over 80 hours when I did an act 3 run (inferno) with a friend. The first elite pack we faced was a desecrator elite pack in the Skycrown Battlements. We killed it off but I suddenly got some kind off rubberband lag and was stuck on one of the fire pools. I try to vault and walk away, but I get sucked back and die. !@#$ happens, of course, and I just thought it was bad luck. No other computer in my home was turned on and I was not doing anything else when playing. About a month later I made a new DH and got it to 60, but after 14 hours playtime I faced a new elite with the desecrator affix in a public act 1 game. After we killed off the elite I got stuck on a pool and died, just like with the previous character. Apparently my brother was uploading some stuff to google drive at the same time, probably causing the game to not respond to my keyboard spamming. Yesterday, I was playing with my seventh DH in a solo game. I found a desecrator elite and felt the game started to rubberband. I kept playing hoping it would stop, but then the monsters spawn a desecrator pool on me and I suddenly can't move at all. Fortunately, since I was playing alone I could press ESC and pause the game. I was terrified and didn't want to unpause it, but eventually did and managed to vault away to safety. My second death mentioned was explainable, but the other two situations are way too random. I probably spend less than 1/1000000 of my time on a desecrator pool when I play DH. I very often stand on one when playing my Barbarian, yet I've never got stuck with that one. I wonder if it's my skill combination that's causing the rubberbanding or if it's simply just a coincidence. The main skills I use are Hungering Arrow with Spray of Teeth and Elemental Arrow with Ball Lightning. When I fight an elite, I usually fire one shot, walk one step, and then repeat. If anyone has lost more than one character that way, please tell. I was not 100% on where to put this thread. I apologise in advance if I placed it in the wrong forum section. | ||
