| Any clue what this error is from? The game just straight up closes and my HC toon sits in game for 15 seconds. Never had any errors till last night. Now It happened again today :X | ||

| Delaz101, Your crash is involving "fmod" so it's likely to be sound-related. Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. | ||

| Delaz101, I would still try updating the sound drivers first as they're from early 2010. Try from the motherboard manufacturer site first and if they don't have any, you might be able to use Via's site here: http://www.via.com.tw/en/support/drivers.jsp Driver Version: 6.00.0001.7900 (English) Driver Attributes: Final Retail WHQL Logo'd: Yes Date and Size: 1/11/2010 05:05:20, 1290752 bytes Other Files: Driver Provider: VIA Technologies, Inc. I've tried disabling audio in the game and even removing the sound devices from Device Manager, but the game still seems to want to initialize Fmod when it starts. If you crash again after doing the above, post the D3Debug.txt file from your Diablo III Game folder as it may provide clues as to what's happening. It's going to have your email address in several places so be sure to edit them out before posting. | ||
