| Obviously there's a lot of barbs out there that deal with frequent disconnects since 1.07. Since Blizzard is not doing anything about this right now I would like to start collecting some data on the builds you used when you get disconnected. Hopefully it will get their attention eventually and maybe point them in the right direction As of right now I highly suspect that a ww combo plays a major role in the dc's, possibly in combination with sprint. Here's my built Whirlwind (Hurricane) Sprint (Run Like A Wind) Battle Rage (Into The Fray) Cleave (Broad Sweep) Wrath Of The Berserker (Thrive on Chaos) War Cry (Impunity) Though As Nails Ruthless Weapons Master And I don't know if that matters, but I am playing on Europe I now play a EQ, Revenge Rend combo without WW & Sprint and haven't been disconnected in 10 hours | ||

| Nightbird, This isn't really anything I can help with here in Technical Support. Our QA Department was investigating all the disconnection reports in the Bug Reports forum. I believe the problem is they were unable to reproduce it in-house. I tried to get it to fail at home as well and nothing I did would ever cause it to disconnect Yet, a friend I play with all the time disconnects regularly when using whirlwind on his Barb. I had him play his character at my house one day and as expected, he could not get it to disconnect no matter how hard he tried. He uses a fast Time Warner Cable connection while I use Verizon FIOS. He uses whatever modem was provided to him while I use a Smoothwall (Linux) setup on a dedicated older pc. Personally, I believe it's related to the router but I have no evidence to back that up with unfortunately. If people want to contribute their info to the thread, it's ok but unless an obvious trend is indicated, there's likely not much that it will accomplish. I'd be interested in knowing the connection method used by people experiencing the disconnects. Whether it's wired or wireless, the ISP, and the router make and model in use. I don't believe I've ever seen a FIOS user report it, I could be wrong though. FIOS has had its own share of issues lately, though I've not had any problems. Again, it may be due to the "heavy duty" router setup I use and not using the commercial router they provide. That's just my guess.... | ||
