| Stuck in a patch loop? Read this(1) | Category: Bug ReportsFebruary-12-2013 3:55 PM PST (10 years ago) ![]() | |
| Since this seems to be a recurring thing, I'm just going to make a sticky post about it for a little while. If you are trying to patch, but you're seeing the client repeatedly tell you there's a new patch available and seemingly forcing you to patch over and over again, then see below: Reason: This occurs because of the fact that we do not mark all global server regions live simultaneously. If you attempt to connect to a server that is not yet live, but you've already patched your client to a new (i.e. different) build, then the server's build and your build no longer match, and it will think you need to update your build. The reality, of course, is that you are now on a newer build than the server is. How to Correct: You only need to simply change the region you're attempting to connect to from a region that is inactive to a region that is active. As of right now, that would be the Americas. Once you change your region to the active region, you should be able to connect with your patched build without issue. If you are still experiencing this problem, first verify that you indeed have a patched build by looking at the small numbers at the bottom left of your client at the login screen. The numbers should read "1.0.7.14633". After this, verify that your region is set to the Americas. | ||
