| launcher* I tried every method to fix it with, and it isnt working... I was playing ok till today when I tried to update to 1.0.7 Now it just hangs at 70% and nothing else happens PS. I can launch the game normally using windows 7, but with 8, even if I update the game on 7 and then reboot 8 and launch the game, it hangs at the same spot. | ||

| Pain, Stopping at around the 70% mark is usually an antivirus issue as that's when the patching process starts writing out the files it's downloaded. It can hang if a security app is preventing files from being changed. If you use an antivirus app, try temporarily disabling it while patching and see if it helps. Be sure to re-enable it afterwards. | ||

| Pain, OK, that's not right certainly. Let's try the following and see if has an effect. Kill all the running Agent.exes in the Task Manager and then, Could you try what's described in the following two articles please? https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/deleting-the-battlenet-cache-folder-pc?utm_source=internal&utm_medium=support_forums&utm_campaign=BlizzardCS https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/deleting-battlenet-tools-folder-pc?utm_source=internal&utm_medium=support_forums&utm_campaign=BlizzardCS | ||

| Pain , Try deleting the Updates folder inside the Diablo III folder along with the Diablo III.mfil and Diablo III.tfil files. Then delete the C:\ProgramData\Battle.net folder again as the article showed. Try the game again afterwards. You should also be right clicking on the installer/launcher and selecting the option to run as an administrator. | ||

| Pain, Were you making sure there weren't copies of agent.exe already running when launching each time? Multiple copies occur like that when agent doesn't respond properly to the query the launcher makes to see if agent is running or not so it launches it, again and again if the problem isn't resolved. It's usually something caused by an internet security app like an antivirus or firewall. I've had a few users need to run the Windows 8 compatibility wizard against the game to fix issues though I've no idea what it does to fix them. You might want to see if that helps any. | ||
