| Hey guys, I've been having an issue lately, as of two or three days ago. To make a long story short, I was playing D3 a few days ago and it crashed on me (colors on the screen got all choppy and blurry and my computer crashed). Upon restart, all of my program shortcuts were turned to .lnk files. So since my copy of XP is OEM, I restored back to 11/2012 and ran CCleaner to fix the registry(which had tons of errors). I updated D3 again and got the error (which was mentioned in this post: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/7810092923) and was able to bypass it. So everything was working fine again until just now. My game just gave me the same error(without the .lnk file switches and registry errors). There is no Error # or anything of the sort. I can't even take a screen shot because my computer locks up at that point. This is a fairly new issue. I've never had this problem before. Any ideas? Note: This issue occurs only with Diablo 3 and no other game. Specs Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3 AMD Phenom II X3 710 NVidia GTS 250 2.61 GHZ 3.25 GB RAM | ||

| Agalloch, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. | ||
