| 1stly, i'm sorry if this doesn't belong to right section of forum. A month ago or so my e-mail got "hacked" or so to speak. I basically saw some spam sent from my e-mail, at times when i wasn't even at my PC. Scanned my pc both with my antivirus, malware bytes' anti-malware and a few online scanners, but nothing ever came out except some tracking cookies. I usually let the browser delete them when closing. Question : 1) Should i change my e-mail and have one just for blizzard ? - I haven't ever used RMAH and not planning to until i have a valid reason. - I haven't changed yet the e-mail because i would also be afraid of a license freeze upon "suspicious login behaviour" I played alot during 1st months of game release, then ocasionally for days or weeks. Today while playing i got a disconnect due to error 62 ( account changes). When i play, i let my AV run only. I did NOT have a browser open at that moment, let alone the blizzard page and changing account details while playing...so this got me worried. I logged into blizz website and checked, but nothing was changed at all. I play D3 on this 6-year old PC and a laptop. ( if one is used by family member/in repairs, i can use the other if i want to play). Questions : 2) Can dhcp assigned IPs or networks cause the error 62 / account changes? - Note it assigns same IP every time i use internet. - Also note i've never gotten this error prior to this maintenance (July 17 2013). 3) Can i lock my account to play only within a range/class of IPs so i feel safe from someone from other network OR country trying to access my account, since e-mail address i currently use for game is also known by other people? 4) Can i buy an Diablo 3 Authenticator (keychain) in Romania? Or is there a list of official distributors so i can pick one and have them ship one in the annoying case of being hacked? 5) Can an Nokia 6303i classic use the battle.net sms protect / mobile authenticator ? I don't pay a monthly fee for my number, i just buy prepay credit when i need it. I'd hate to need to buy an iphone just for a safety feature for a game. edit : i did change the password of my e-mail after seeing that incident | ||
