| Hello, I returned from a break i took after patch 1.05, now only to get crazy FPS drops which i haven't experienced before. FPS now drops dramatically in MP, especially when i fight where the mob density is greatand if i am in with a party with monk or CM wizz, their visual effects cause the game to stutter even more. I have tried everything people post on this forum to get it better, and it improved a bit (for me it was v-sync, max foreground rate and turning crit numbers off), but the gameplay is not yet smooth like it should be, even with the lowest settings. Note that in patch 1.05 i haven't had these problems at all, only minor lag spikes which were acceptable. I'm running this game on laptop and I'm aware that it isn't capable of running on all high while maintaining high FPS as well, but on all low it should play pretty smooth like it did before i took the break. List of things i tried (not working, at least not completely): - updated directx 9 to the latest version - updated all my drivers - changed the d3prefs settings (this means all in game settings as well) - installing gameboost and similar programs to boost CPU (i dont like OCing the laptop, or else it will cause overheating issues, i don't have them now) - scanned for viruses and malware (found none) - turning off background programs - some other things for sure but i don't remember now - EDIT: HDD workaround done too, still the same ( http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5642269402 ) The problem obviously exists on your side blizz not on mine, so I am attaching my d3prefs and dxdiag log to help you investigate the issue furthermore and hopefully fix it. | Hello, Although you mention driver updates, I note you're using a graphics adapter driver from almost three years ago. Can you please update this from here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx They aren't specific to your laptop so there may potentially be a compatibility issue, but's worth checking them out, then seeing if it works better. | ||
