| After spending huge amount of time googling and trying possible solutions past last weeks I accidently found a solution. I'am not saying it will work for everyone, perfomance problems can be caused many different things. But in Win 7 & 8 era we forgot about past softwares and it's highly possible it will work. 1. First of all you should have newest GPU drivers installed (old should be uninstalled and cleaned with Driver Fusion or similar program. I don't know about NVIDIA but ATI Catalyst Control Center doesn't rly help, after uninstalling it I had better resoults. 2.This will ofcorse help if your problems are hdd releted, i'am using it myself (i have whole d3 folder on 32gb) since 1.08: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5149178443 Solution: Download and install newest Directx 9. (DirectX 9.29.1974). Doesn't matter that you use win7 and have Directx 11 already (like me). It is very possible that your d9 is outdated or u don't have it and it seems this game is using it. I have Windows Update disabled but from what i remember you always had to install it yourself (in win xp). If the installation will not say that you already have a good one it will install or updated current one. Reboot. So after playing with everything lowest or switched off at 1024 x 600 first time in my life i can play at 1280 x 720 high-mid-high-mid.on my 3year MSI GE700 lap ;0 http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/19/9t9w.jpg/ Btw, my win7 power plan is best perfomance and now it use default d3prefs settings (with fps cap enabled). | Hello, It sounds like your Directx installation may have been damaged, and downloading the installer corrected that and that's why it's working better now. I'd be curious to hear back from anyone else who tries this though, thanks for the post. | ||
