Can't play Diablo 3(1)Category: Technical SupportJanuary-18-2013 5:58 PM PST (10 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
I played a lot when I bought the game. Then something happened. Not sure exactly but one day it just wouldn't work. I went onto the forums and tried searching for a solution. Read all about the agent file, tried pretty much everything that people were talking about (force kill, deleting, re-installing the whole damn game). Still didn't work. Brought in outside help and still nothing solved the problem. This was months ago. Yesterday I figured I would give it another shot and for some reason it worked, albeit it was very slow (which I put down to lag). Updated my version and got some play time in. This morning...stuck on initializing. Tried force killing the agent (again), deleted the agent file (again) and still nothing. Any solutions?

I had just about written off the game and to work for a single day and then take it away again is just infuriating. Any help at all will be appreciated. And please, I'm no kind of computer whizz so any suggestions will need to be step by step. I'm on a PC, not a mac and it's a new computer which can easily fulfill the spec requirements.

Thanks in advance

NewAngel,

If doing that step caused something to revert, it would indicate something had been manually changed before, perhaps in an attempt to connect to a different region that the games's installed language would default to?

With all the problems you've had, I think it would be best to obtain the regional version you want to play with and install that after first deleting the game installation you have now. Ideally it would be the version based on where you're playing from which appears to be China though you have a European Battle.net account stating a European residence.
