| Diablo3 freeze up hard with a looping in the music before it restaures and I get a disconnected from the server in a very short amount of time. this started up when I installed a new motherboard, even world of warcraft gets issues now but it not realy the same, wow gets liek a realy weair lag when I can still fight but the map and the UI gets laggy two and dont refresh completly so all I have is a few dots on the minimap and I dont get disconnected. the music also start lookping when this starts. I used to have a intel board with a pentium D 2-core now I have a assus M5A97 r2.0 board with a amd FX-6100 3.3GHz 6-core the problem started with this change so I thought maybe my graphic card was the issue so changed my Ati-radeon HD 5860 to nvidia GTX 660 problem was still persisting, but while thoe 2 games freezes up / lag bug, I can still get out of the game and browser internet web with no issues. where else and what else can I do to trouble shoot this? | ||

| eieliannia, Did you install all of the chipset drivers the came with the new motherboard? The ones on the cd/dvd usually aren't the actual latest they offer so you might check the manufacturer's site for updates. After checking for that, can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. | ||

| eieliannia, I've come across those particular errors a lot, even on my own machines, without experiencing game play problems so I'm not convinced they're actually a symptom you need to be concerned with. The log entries being generated has already been submitted and acknowledged internally so we'll need to wait until it's been fixed by the developers. As you changed a lot of hardware when this started happening, it's more likely to be related to that. I'd run a good memory diagnostic overnight first. Memtest86+ is one I recommend. It needs to be burned to bootable media like a cd, dvd, or a USB flash drive. http://www.memtest.org/#downiso Check Asus' site to see if they have a newer BIOS than what you have currently too. | ||

| eieliannia, Do you know the make and model of the power supply? It may be an old no-name 300 watt (or lower) model and if so, it's likely not strong enough for your hardware upgrade. A minimum 450 watt model is recommended for your GTX 660 though personally, I'd go with at least a 600 if not higher. | ||

| eieliannia, That power supply ought to be fine. There's really noting else I can suggest that's going to be easy for you. I'd swap out the motherboard next, followed by the cpu as those are the only new components that haven't been ruled out. This is based off your description of the OS and game being completely installed from a fresh start and your confirmation of the chipset and driver updates all being performed. | ||

| eieliannia, I mean they may have a problem. They're certainly capable of playing Diablo III and World of Warcraft. | ||

| eieliannia, Again, based on your description of the problem, that it ran everything fine then you swapped out the motherboard and cpu and video card and that's when the problem appeared, I'd have no reason to suspect a program. We've potentially eliminated the system ram, video card, and power supply, leaving the components you added. | ||

| eieliannia, I don't know any other sure-fire way to test a motherboard or cpu other than to swap it out and see if the problem goes away. There are no user-level diagnostics for that. If you know anyone with a lot of PC building experience, they may have spare parts you can borrow. I'm not suggesting in any way that you need to spend money to troubleshoot but you have to realize there's only so much we can do in a forum environment. You're better aware of what resources are available to you than I. | ||

| eieliannia, That would actually be a great way to test. However, it would require another fresh install of the OS and drivers. | ||

| eieliannia, There's no reason to suspect the hard drives really. | ||
