A Lack Of Fun, Has Stopped Me Playing This Game.(1)Category: GeneralMay-29-2013 2:25 PM PDT (10 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
I had been playing casually since launch, and there are some enjoyable aspects to the game like finding a significant upgrade on the Auction house for cheap or Brawling. However, ultimately i have been enjoying other games, even older games a lot more. Also, after reinstalling SC2 and playing the arcade/custom games for a while, it became really difficult to ignore the fact that there are games that are far more enjoyable per hour.

In conclusion, if the expansion does not have custom/arcade games like other blizzard titles or the removal of the Auction House there is no way that i am buying the expansion or playing this game again.

We of course want Diablo III to be as fun as it can possibly be, but if you do not think the game is fun to play right now, then it is maybe not a bad idea to simply take a break and check back in again at a later time in the future to see if the game has improved more to your liking by then.

Also, if you are not sure that the expansion will offer content that is enjoyable to you, then it may be a good idea to first check out things like reviews and gameplay streams of it before making the decision to get it or not.

What do you offer as a counter to this?

It is not at all my intention to be your adversary or start an argument, so I have no intention to try and counter or invalidate your post.

What I was trying to say with my previous post is that if you are not enjoying Diablo III as it is now, then maybe it is not a bad idea to take a break and come back later to see if the game will be enjoyable after new content and improvements have been implemented.

I totally understand that Diablo III is not the Diablo game that some people had in mind, and to those people it is only natural if they are sceptical about future content. Also, if you truly think that we are lying to you and that you therefore cannot trust us when we talk about the things we are looking into for improving the game, well then there is nothing I can say that will convince you otherwise - In that case, I personally think that time is your best friend and ally, because time is unbiased and only time will let you know if Diablo III will become a game that you can enjoy.
