| So about 3 times a day on average D3 will just freeze and crash. I can open the task manager and it says D3 is not responding. I can proceed to 'terminate process', but it doesn't actually turn off and still remains in the task manager. I am forced to do a full restart on my laptop by holding the power button down. I know this is not good for my laptop so I would prefer to find out the problem behind this so I can either a) get it to stop crashing or b) be able to close the game from my task manager to reload it. I'm on a dell XPS15 L502X i7 processor, 540m gfx, 6gb RAM | ||

| Xanther, There's not much I can suggest based on the information provided. Reinstalling the game is about it for now. Being a laptop, you won't have the luxury of swapping out components to see if it's a fixable hardware issue. However, also being a laptop, they're much more susceptible to overheating than a desktop so I'd check the internal temps the cpu and gpu are reaching while playing. If they're getting too hot, you can take steps to improve the cooling efficiency. Download and run HWMonitor from: http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.20-setup.exe Now start the game and let it run several minutes. Then exit or alt-tab out and see what the highest temperature is that was reached for both the cpu and gpu. | ||
