| Ok so i just got diablo lll for christmas and i was really looking forward to it. My computer is well over the system requirements so i thought it would be a breeze getting this game installed and getting right to playing. well when i log into my account and click on my demon hunter and log in the world loads and as soon as i click for my character to walk my entire computer crashes. Ive Turned the graphics all the way down, ive searched the fourms for hours and tried everything i could think of. Any Advice? | ||

| Makø , Can you post your D3Debug.txt file? It's located in the main Diablo III game folder. Edit out your account name first though. It may appear in a few places in the file. | ||

| Makø , Is the game fully installed or are you playing while it's still downloading in a "playable" state? If it's still downloading, it's best to let it finish. If it's all there, try the following as I suspect something is corrupted somewhere. Delete the following folder, \Diablo III\Data_D3\PC\MPQs\Cache , then run the repair tool in the launcher. You access that under the Help tab across the top of the launcher. It can take a while to run as it rebuilds the deleted info so please be patient and let it finish before continuing to try the game again. | ||

| Makø, I'm afraid I'd have to recommend a reinstall then. It's stopping when loading specific content in from the hard drive but not recording any errors in doing so as we often see it do in a case like this. Reinstalling is the best way to rule out corrupted data if the repair utility didn't help. | Makø, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. | ||
