DWA-140B3 Driver update = can't create game(1)Category: Technical SupportFebruary-27-2013 3:27 PM PST (10 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
On feb 26th my windows update updated the drivers for my network adapter (dwa 140b3) and since then I haven't been able to create games. It either loads indefinitely or throws me out to the main screen with the message (the game connection has been lost your client has been disconnected from the server). I can change quest, switch heroes and access the AH flawlessly but I can't resume/start game nor join public games. Please help me resolve this!

Our ability to advise is a little limited here really zhaf, and you may be better off contacting the network device manufacturer directly. However, it may be worth trying this first:

1) Click Start (Windows Key + Q in Windows 8).
2) Click Control Panel.
3) Double click on the System icon (in Windows XP, you may need to click Switch to Classic View on the left hand side of the screen).
4) Select the Hardware tab.
5) Click on Device Manager.
6) Expand the section labelled Network Adapters - The name of your network adapter will be listed there.
7) Right click the network card and select Properties.
8) Click the Advanced tab.
9) If you have an option to set the Duplex setting set it to 100BaseTX Full Duplex.
10) If you have an option to set the Checksum Offload setting, disable it. This setting's name may vary slightly.

You will probably need to restart your PC after changing these settings.
