| When I log in, it says a new patch is available. It downloads the patch, (now going straight to 100% as it has already downloaded it), then I click play, and after I log in again it says a new patch is available, and this just keeps going round and round. Any help? | ||

| It's simple; The time that your Diablo III client patches is determined by the region of the installer you used. If your client patches ahead of other regions, you will be locked out of playing in unpatched regions until their patch goes live. So, those of you having issues right now must have US clients as they are currently patching. When their servers come back up after the maintenance, you will be able to play on them with no problem, but you won't be able to access the other 2 until they have been patched. Likewise, EU/Asia clients will not be able to play on the US server until they have been patched. This is the way it's been since global play was first launched. | ||

Posted by: Milka Also why didn't we have this problem on other patches? As I said before, it has existed since Global Play was launched, just do a search on these forums. These posts appear every single patch.

I checked game management and guess what first position in game client is ..EnglishUS lol theres even option for asian cients - one coud l say i should have checked what i downloaded but 1there isnt any warning about possible complications when downloading client from wrong region 2. when i bought the game i didnt really cared about the client as long as it was english... so fail by Blizzard by including on eu site a us client while knowing about problems it could create We kind of agree AlBundy and we accept that it's not an ideal mechanic, but it is a necessary side-effect of the freedom that Global Play offers. And, not only does it only affect you for a few hours (we'll be patching soon), but it only happens once (you can just download/install the correct client and it won't happen again). So, it's not a huge deal when you think about it.

Posted by: DJSLOTHLIFE is this related to 'an unexpected error occurred' when the client fails to initialize or not? No, I don't believe so. 1.0.7 is now live in the EU aswell in case you guys didn't notice. Locking this thread now (although undoubtedly we'll see another one exactly the same come the next patch).
