Rage,

I'd like to see your D3Debug.txt file, ideally taken just after a session in which you were having the issue. The file is located in your Diablo III game folder.

Rage,

Thanks but I couldn't really see anything in there that would be related to what you're seeing. The file did end abruptly indicating it was either cut off or the machine powered down in the middle of the game?

Since you've had this problem for a year or two, It's not likely to be the game due to the several patches we've released during that time. Have you had the same computer components all along? Would you be able to swap out the video card with something else and play long enough to see if it happens again?

Rage,

Have you had the same internet connection and method of connecting all this time too?

Rage,

Are you able to test with it connected via an ethernet cable instead of wireless?

Rage,

Consider doing so as it's really a necessary step in troubleshooting. Your connection may be suffering at times. When you're playing, you're actually making several different connections to various servers we employ for different functions. That might explain what you're seeing. Since it's been occurring for so long and your connection method hasn't changed, I'd like to be able to rule that out first. Even if it means running a cable along the floor, it would just be long enough to determine if the issue subsides when wired or not.

Otherwise, I'd have to suggest relocating the computer itself to another site, perhaps a friend's house to see if it makes a difference. I want to get as much of your connection out of the equation to see if it helps. Connecting straight to your modem would eliminate or point to it being your wireless adapter (motherboard implementation), environment (walls, floors, obstructions), and the router itself.
