| Hello, For the past few days i've been searching for a solution to a black screen when I start Diablo III. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times with no success. I have checked drivers and done all the updates I was able to find. I am running windows ten and I and I am aware that this has caused some issues for many players, yet I have tried the solutions previously given to users of windows 10 without any luck. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. | ||

| SenecaSade, Could you please post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? | SenecaSade, Have you tried setting vsync on and using windowed mode yet? | Pleurk, Had you tried an earlier fix circulated to place files from an older driver release into the game folder? | Pleurk, That's just it. We don't put the files you mentioned in the game folder. They'd only be there if someone put them there. There was an earlier "workaround" to the issue AMD users had with going into the Desolate Sands and crashing. Before AMD updated to version 15, you could extract those two files from an earlier release like 13.12 and place them into the game folder.
