| 8800GTS SLI 2nd card not being utilized(1) | Category: Technical SupportJanuary-5-2016 12:07 AM PST (7 years ago) ![]() | |
| I know this is an outdated setup but bear with me. The problem is I have two 8800GTS 640MB but MSI afterburner is reporting the second card is not being used at all during gameplay. SLI is enabled and works correctly in other games like CS:GO and Call of Duty Black Ops. The problem seems to be with Diablo 3's SLI compatibility but I am not 100% Certain. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar setup and could confirm if the 8800GTS can run in SLI with Diablo 3? The only thing I can think might be off is the two cards have a slightly different BIOS as they were purchased at different times. GPU-Z confirms this. I might try flashing the BIOS to the same version but that seems a little risky. I have an older secondary rig with the following specs: PSU: Corsair 650W TX RAM: 4GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz GFX: 2x ASUS 8800GTS 640MB Mobo: ASUS P5n32-E SLI HDD: WD Blue Sata 320GB OS: Windows XP Pro 32-Bit Driver: Nvidia 340.52 Driver (Latest official) | ||

| Necromaniac, None of our games take advantage of either SLI or Crossfire setups. They tolerate them but no performance increases will be had other than by how the operating system is affected. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
