| I have seen a lot of posts on D3 having serious lag problems for a lot of people. But let me state up front: - Not about playing on high volume times. - Not about super high density in GRs. - Not about having a crappy connection or computer. This is about D3. Diablo 3 has a lag problem. When I play, say, WoW for example, my ms is around 50. No lag. No rubber banding. It's perfectly playable. This goes for all of my other online games. Except one. Diablo 3. In D3 I'll be lucky to get under 200 ms in town in a solo game. And when I actually go out to fight anything, high density or not; high GR level or not, I will spike up to 1000+ at times. I will rubber band and lag constantly, rendering the game unplayable. It hasn't always been like this. Diablo 3 always had higher ms than every other program and game for me, sure, but it's been slowly getting worse. All the trace routes and other things the blue's have suggested don't seem to be leading to any answers, or anything for that matter. I have posted mine, posted other things, posted WinMTR, posted Looking Glass (when it works) and nothing. All of that feels like worrying about a flat tire while the engine is on fire. Now, I'm no technical genius by any stretch of the imagination, so maybe I am wrong on some point. I wouldn't be this frustrated if A) it was all games/programs with this issue or B) I could play offline solo (fat chance ever!). 2.3.0b is said to be a technical patch, sure. And for all I know it has nothing to do with this issue. This issue that seems to be swept under the rug, or blame is redirected to the player, or the ISP. I don't know. Sorry for rambling. Just frustrated. D3 is one of my favorite games of all time and now, I can't play it until this issue is solved. | ||
