This post isn't for me, its for a friend who is trying to get back into his account to play diablo 3, but I am the one who needs to create this post and ask for help since:

My friend didn't have a computer capable of gaming for a while, and only found out his PC couldn't handle d3 after buying it and installing it. So he has the game bought and everything. He recently has purchased a PC fully capable of playing all of blizz's games and he wants to do so.

It has been close to a year since then, and his email address associated with the account was closed due to inactivity. Also, my buddy cannot remember his password for his b.net account/secret security question answer.

Both of us have done some hardcore browsing around trying to find a support number we can call to get this issue resolved, since he still has the credit card he registered with to buy d3 from the b.net launcher/site and he is willing to provide a copy of his driver's license as proof that he is the rightful owner.

Apparently, even attempting to submit a ticket or livechat a help agent requires knowledge of account information he does not have anymore. This has been a beyond frustrating experience.

Before anyone suggests this as an option:
My bud has mentioned that he may be willing to set up a new account and just buy the game again, but I have and will continue to convince him to just not play blizzard games instead of re-buying them and I would quit playing as well since it is sheer lunacy he cannot use a product he already payed for due to a lack of support that fundamentally should be available to him.

Prot48,

Have your friend go through the steps to submit a ticket or request a callback on the support site. Have him not use any of the pre-selected options though or he'll be sent to the guided-entry steps which require additional information. Have him select the "not listed here" entry and he should be able to bypass all that.
