| When I'm in the Diablo 3 Menus or standing idle in town, my computer fan whirs in a very strange fashion. BUT when I'm actually on the battlefield, doing a Rift or whatever, it sounds normal. I'm confused? | ||

| Vlazor, That isn't that uncommon really. It's probably your video card's fan you're hearing speeding up. There's nothing to limit it load-wise sometimes so it's going to run faster causing more heat and the fan to kick in to counter it. As long as your video card is performing properly, it isn't anything to really be concerned about but if you'd like to manually enforce a framerate limit to keep it running cooler you can do so by either enabling vertical sync in the game or enabling the maximum foreground frame rate setting also in the game.
