| Haven't played D3 for about a month. Yesterday I tried to play the game but the game failed at launching. First, I open the battle net app on my desktop. Then I clicked "play" on the D3 panel. The D3 logo came out, and few seconds later the screen turned black and the mouse cursor turned into D3 style cursor. Then the screen jumped right back to desktop with a log saying unexpected error and asking what am I doing when this happened (Traditional Chinese interface cuz I'm from Taiwan). Tried the repair function in the battle net app. Did not work. | ||

| seath, Could you please post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| seath, There's a couple of things I'd try first. Enable vertical sync by changing this line in your D3prefs.txt file Vsync "0" to Vsync "1" I also see a reference to a program we sometimes see cause issues as it's doing for you now according to the Windows Error Reporting section.. "NvStreamService.exe" Which is associated with your Nvidia video device. I'd suggest disabling the service that runs it. 1. From the Start menu, click on Settings and then swipe to Yes the Show administrative tools option. 2. Double click on the Services icon. 3. Scroll down to the NVIDIA Streamer Service, right click on it and select "properties" 4. Change the Startup type to Manual and then clicked on the "stop" button. 5. Click "Apply" and "OK", reboot and test out the game. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
