| So I upgraded to win 10 last night. After loading up Diablo 3 and playing for around 20 minutes, I noticed that f.lux, a program that adjusts the color and brightness of the screen based on local day/night cycles, had stopped working. I did a quick search and found a simple fix on this same site: go to diablo 3 options and go to windowed: fullscreen. Problem is, after doing this, the game started to freeze up followed by my computer restarting and telling me that the error is video_tdr_failure. I'm not very computer savvy so I had no idea what this meant. Google search told me to update my graphics driver using windows update. But that told me that all of my devices are already fully updated. So now, I can't play Diablo 3 at all. Within seconds of me loading up the game, my computer freezes and restarts. I have also tried disabling f.lux but to no avail. I really hope I can get some help and have this fixed before next patch hits. =( | ||

| Nyarlathotep, So you upgraded to Windows 10 and were playing the game for about 20 minutes with no problems, and then you basically just changed the display mode to windowed full screen and then started getting the TDR errors? Did you try changing back to the display mode you had before switching it? ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Nyarlathotep, You can set the mode outside of the game by editing your D3Prefs.txt file located in your My Documents\Diablo III folder. Using a text editor like Notepad, change this line DisplayModeWindowMode "2" (windowed full screen) to DisplayModeWindowMode "0" (full screen) or DisplayModeWindowMode "1" (regular windowed) ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
