Ionstorm #2545 | Dead Hero Because your Servers / Systems Suck!(1) | Category: Technical SupportMarch-11-2016 12:31 PM PST (9 years ago) |
I just got Disconnected from the Battle.NET my Steam, Skype and everything else worked fine. I was fighting a GR77 Riftlord who was at 50% HP, I had full HP, no Procs from near death or anything, I also had a Shield Shrine I was going to take as soon as I got Proc'd, which hadn't happened thus far. I have just logged back in and I'm dead. It is not possible, nor is it my fault you DISCONNECTED ME from YOUR SERVICES causing me to die. There was aboslutely ZERO chance of my dieing if I hadn't DC'd. I want my hero restoring! The momment connecting loses it should resort to offline play - if this wasn't an online game or you didn't DC me then I wouldn't have died! I've spent hours on this character gearing it up etc, I want it back. Why doesn't the game go to offline mode when DC's happen? Why doesn't the game notice a few time outs and then kick your toon to town? Why is it I get DC'd from nothing else but Battle.net for less than 10seconds? Fix your crap, restore my hero or GGWP Uninstall all Blizzard games, and GL trying to sell me Legion CE because I won't bother buying it. That you have no contingency plans for people who DC in Hardcore or any "one off" respawns is beyond a joke. |

Hello Ionstorm, I'm sorry about what happened to you, but I'm afraid hardcore heroes cannot be resurrected, no matter the reason of death. The game warns you about this when you create the character, and it's also stated on our support article. At the moment we have no knowledge of general issues on the servers that cause disconnects. I totally understand the frustration of a situation like that, but even if Battle.net was the only thing disconnecting from the programs you had opened, that doesn't necessarily have to mean that there is an issue on the servers. Each program handles connection differently, and it would be interesting to look further into your issue to see if we can avoid disconnections in the future. Please, make sure you follow all the steps in this article (including advanced): battle.net/support/article/611 If the issue persists, we would need some more information to look into this. Even if the issue ends up being in our network, we need this data to escalate properly to our technicians should it be needed: - Details of issue: - Date/time it started: - City/Country: - Internet Provider: - Traceroute (right after a disconnection or whenever you're experiencing the issue) - Pathping (right after a disconnection or whenever you're experiencing the issue) - Looking Glass report (right after a disconnection or whenever you're experiencing the issue) ______________________________________________________ Got feedback about the support I'm providing?
