Optimal but Not Complete(1)Category: Technical SupportFebruary-8-2016 5:48 AM PST (9 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
I just recently bought Diablo 3, and I'm new to PC gaming so bear with me please.
The download went smoothly and all of that, it ran pretty fast too for the most part. But once it hit "Optimal" it just stopped. It ran for a few seconds longer after giving me the notification before it dropped from 4.56 MB/s to 0 MB/s and staying there for half an hour, my internet was fine and had only slipped up once during the process, but it was running just fine when the download got to that point.
I tried again this morning, only to have it stop at the same place, this time saying it was running at 8.79 MB/s but still making no progress what-so-ever.
Ideas? Help? Please?
Thank you.

Hello Rook,

Delete the Battle.net Cache folder:
battle.net/support/article/6141

Delete the Battle.net Tools folder:
battle.net/support/article/6504

I would also recommend disabling or temporary uninstalling your security software to make sure it's not interfering. You can also try disabling all background applications:
