Crit #1867 | Game freeze after latest update on 64-bit(1) | Category: Technical SupportFebruary-5-2016 2:17 PM PST (9 years ago) |
Greetings, Since the release of Diablo 3, i haven't encountered any freeze that lock up the game on me. Great! But what's funny, is that i had no idea there was a previous freeze that got small patch fix. I never had the freeze even before the fix patch, But that small fix patch actually did the opposite for me which my game started freezing when opening Inventory/Cube/Stash randomely after an hour of play time. I'm not running 32-bit, Im on Win 8.1 64-bit.. and i have done all the required things mentioned in all the locked threads. And in these threads i have seen people with the same issues running 64-bit systems. So what can we do now to get rid of the memory freeze ? Win 8.1 i7 5930K 16 GB RAM GTX 980 SLI |

Hello Crit, While I understand your position, Blizzard games require the latest version of the drivers, as well as a fully updated operative system. Outdated drivers can give trouble sometimes, so unless they are fully updated we cannot discard them as a reason for the freezes, and therefore we cannot offer further support. If you find the issue persists or you have additional problems after updating the drivers, you can revert to a previous version. But we need you to at least try the latest version. To this day we have no knowledge of any corruption or general issue in the game itself that causes this kind of freezes. ______________________________________________________ Got feedback about the support I'm providing?
