| I have tried system restores, uninstalling/reinstalling the game, different laptops, and all the internet bug fixes I could find. I haven't been able to play D3 on pc for a year or two because of this. PLEASE help me fix this. | ||

| Andariel, Could you describe what exactly needs fixing please? Your D3Prefs.txt file is just a text file holding game settings. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Andariel, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Andariel, There's a couple of things I'd try first that are pretty easy to do. Set your desktop resolution to match what the game is set to use which is 1280 x 720. Or change the game to match your desktop resolution of 1600 x 900. to do that, edit the D3Prefs.txt file. Change these lines DisplayModeWidth "1280" DisplayModeHeight "720" to DisplayModeWidth "1600" DisplayModeHeight "900" You should also enable vertical sync Change this line Vsync "0" to Vsync "1" If none of that helps, look into updating your NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M drivers as they're currently pretty old and were never meant for Windows 8.1. http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/85053/en-us ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
