| updating causing BSoD ??(1) | Category: Technical SupportMay-19-2015 6:46 AM PDT (8 years ago) ![]() | |
| I didnt understand why my computer kept shutting down this morning ..then after the third time trying to find answers I didnt run the update for teh game ..im still online doing fine ..i know when i go to run the update for D3 it will either BSoD or reboot ..ive switched the properties to stop from rebooting and will try it now ..was wondering of anyone else has ever had this similar issue?
might be a VM issue so im going to disable it like it says to try and see if this helps ..be very curious if anyone else has had this happen ?
druuzil,
Are you using a Panda Antivirus app? If so, try temporarily disabling it while updating the game. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos
Happened to me as well. I am using BitDefender and it still went bsod after disabling the program.
I'm also getting BSOD when trying to update. No Panda Antivirus.
okay I still get the bsod after I uninstalled my security program. I also completely uninstalled nvidia drivers (driver sweeper) and installed the latest drivers. So I am not so sure what is causing the blue screen.
I opened Battlenet application to play the game. The game started to load and got a message 'The application encountered an unexpected error.' Please use the Report ID below when communicating with Blizzard about this issue.
739BF25F-9901-4CCE-B21D-38D56CF44E7C Not sure what is going on. Have tried more than 10 times to play this morning. Every time the game after I get the game is running it crashes and the unexpected error pops up. anyone else having trouble playing the game after today's scheduled update?
still trying to get into play.....guess it wont happen today. I even attempted 4 times to send a tech ticket in. Each time I got the same response...An unknown error has occurred. Off to work hope that goes better than my 2 dozen attempts to play D3 today
ive disabled the only one i have to see if it woudl help ( Bit defender ) and still when i go to update ..exact same issue every time ...this is a first for me ..ive never had the problem before on updates ...what do you think is going on ..it seems other people are having the same problem
Guys I was able to get mine working. My bsod is mainly PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, Bug Check Code: 0x00000050, Crash Address: ntoskrnl.exe+75c00. I did a lot of troubleshooting steps but the bsod went away after I ran chkdsk /f.
Ok ive tried everything ...ran the chkdsk/f uninstalled the ONLY program in the last while which was adobe reader ...still exact same bsod .. Now the only thing i can think of is this ..Omrakos said to disable PANDA ..i had issues with panda about 7 month ago where i couldn't uninstall it so i did a manual deletion of it from the registry ( it was massively corrupt for what ever reason and i wanted it gone fully ) so trying to put in a new anti virus it sid there was one already installed ..panda ..then i went to re install panda to see if i could remove it properly ..it says the same thing ...so i have bits of that stupid anti virus from months ago in my registry ..i just cant see it causing this tho ..ive done at least two updates from here since then ..i really need help ..i play everyday lol
and just to make triple sure its nothing else ..im doing a huge update on ESO right now ..no issues at all
druuzil,
"nnsstrm.exe Page_Fault _in _ nonpaged_area" nnsstrm.exe is almost certainly Panda's. Google "nnsstrm.exe" to see. Search your computer and see if you can locate it. To be safe, when you find it it, rename it, then reboot and test the game again. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos

| druuzil, There has to be or it wouldn't have been mentioned in your BSOD report. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
