SteelSentry #1548 | Frequent crashes, shutting off computer(1) | Category: Technical SupportMay-3-2015 9:08 PM PDT (10 years ago) |
Just started playing this weekend, and from somewhere between 20 minutes and 2 hours of playing my entire computer shuts off. There is no BSOD, and no distortion of video or audio as other people have experienced, it just cuts to black screen and turns off. When I restart my computer, Windows Error Recovery does not pop up, so it is not overheating or overdrawing power. I inherited this laptop from my brother, and he was able to run Diablo 3 on it, but the last time he played it was over a year ago. |

SteelSentry, Please post your DXDIAG file so we can get more information about your computer. Here's a support article that will show you how to get the DXDIAG: Obtaining System Files Once you have the DXDIAG file, open it and copy/paste the entire file into your next reply. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Sunday through Thursday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |

SteelSentry, Thanks for the update. I'm glad to see that you were able to resolve that issue by disabling Steam. Please feel free to post again if you have any other questions. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Sunday through Thursday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |
