| I want to use Imdisk to create a virtual 25G drive to run D3 on for performance improvements. (using excess RAM to create a virtual drive is hundreds of times faster for access than the current SSD drives available. I have 32G or Ram so why not get some use out of it?.) Questions: 1. This program won't run afoul of warden will it? 2. Once the drive is created, do I copy D3 to the virtual drive and run it from there? | ||

| RickinVa, It should work fine and no, using a ramdisk to hold the game doesn't violate anything, as long as it's just a ramdisk. The only issue I see is you'd need to change (maybe continually) the location of the game folder in the Desktop App so it can find it. each time you boot the computer and want to play again, you'll have to go through the copy process again. If you happen to open the Desktop app to play another game, it may find the old Diablo III folder and change the location back to it so if that happens, you'll have to change it once more to the ramdisk drive location. The other more important thing to consider is that changes made to the game files while playing will be written out to the ramdisk so they won't be there the next time you have to go through the copy process. Nothing much should change unless a patch had to be applied in which case, you'd want to copy the ramdisk version back over to the hard drive version before rebooting or turning off the system to keep it updated. All in all, while it should work fine, in my opinion it's going to be a hassle you'll eventually get tired of. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Thursday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm Pacific Time, Friday 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time ,Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
