| Doesn't happen anywhere else, and happens in both campaign and adventure. It wasn't happening before, I've run through on several difficulty levels, but in Torment I, that particular zone will not work for me. I've done a file check and then did a full reinstall, neither fixed the problem. Thanks! | ||

| I assume you're both using AMD video cards as this issue is common for them in certain configurations. The current workaround is to install older AMD Catalyst video drivers. You'd want to find a driver from the 13.x series, not the 14.x ones. | Hi all! Right now there are two main options to resolve this issue: 1. Keep trying new AMD drivers until they successfully fix their issue. (We've reported it to them) 2. Use this workaround. It's unsupported and "try at your own risk," but it seems to be getting the job done. | neilcpa, There are two basic issues people are maybe confusing here, both seemingly related to the Desolate Sands area in the game. If you're actually locking up or crashing and using an AMD video card, you should try AMD's latest Beta 15.9.1 drivers which are reported by AMD to resolve the issue. http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/latest-catalyst-windows-beta.aspx If your screen is freezing though and you can still hear sounds going on in the background, it's a different problem we're still collecting data on as it's not yet been able to be reproduced reliably enough to take a look at the cause. It's happening to Nvidia users as well as AMD. For that symptom though, if it happens again, I suggest hitting the "T" key so you'll portal to town if possible, then hitting Control-Alt-Delete and open the Task manager, then close the Task manager and return to the game. It ought to have returned control of the screen to you. | Cavar, Can you give me steps that I can use to get it to happen to me? I've had it happen maybe 3 times in the last 3 months playing several hours a day. I know it happens, and to some it seems to happen a lot. We need to know what it is they're doing and what hardware/software combinations they're using in order to see if we can find the root cause. Depending on the issue you're having, the beta drivers may or may not fix it for you.
