| Hello, First off, sorry for this kind of a repost but noone seemed to notice my last post so here I am trying again. A couple of weeks ago I wanted to pick up D3 again with the new season and all, and now it seems to crash my computer upon launch. This doesn't always happen, it is random but I'd say there is like a 80% chance it crashes. Some times the game will launch just fine and I can play as long as I want to without issues but mostly it hard-crashes my computer on launching, causing it to reboot. I launch the Battle.net client, press "Play" for Diablo 3 and the game logo comes up and the game launches. The main window of the game will then come up on my screen for a very short while (some times greyed out like the application is not responding) and then the computer crashes. Some times the application will get a little further, like show me the login screen where it says "Authenticating...." but then crash here. I've tried most of the "fixes" I've found online and to no avail. I have tried all of the following: None of the above has helped. I have tried looking in D3Debug.txt but it didn't reveal anything useful to me. I have tried to look at the system event log but that did not tell me anything either. Pastebin for my D3Debug.txt (several ones): http://pastebin.com/M3baBxdM http://pastebin.com/56jeh7gW Pastebin for my DxDiag: http://pastebin.com/9A3NPWiY I hope of someone being able to help me, Weedbean | ||

| Weedbean, The way your log files are abruptly ending with no error indication of any kind leads me to suspect another app interfering somewhere perhaps. While we don't really care about a video capture device, this result in your dxdiag may be a clue as well. Video Capture Devices Error happened during getting video capture device info I've never seen that sort of message in all the dxdiag reports I've read. There's also your Windows Error reporting section. Several entries are there for "mbamservice.exe" which is from MalwareBytes. You might try uninstalling that for now. We recommend using it all the time though and it's never caused any problems but your system is having issues with it for some reason. You might also try booting in selective startup once and playing like that for a little while and see if it happens again. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Thursday 7 am - 4 pm Pacific Time, Friday 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time ,Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Weedbean, Can you take a fresh dxdiag report and post it please? Post your D3Debug.txt file as well. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Thursday 7 am - 4 pm Pacific Time, Friday 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time ,Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Weedbean,, Do you have any sort of video capture device connected to your system? I'm still concerned by this: --------------------- Video Capture Devices Error happened during getting video capture device info --------------------- Along with the new Windows Error Reporting entries concerning: amdmantle64.dll Which comes from the AMD drivers. Let's go ahead and revert back to the latest drivers which you had on your previous dxdiag and see if these issues clear up. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Thursday 7 am - 4 pm Pacific Time, Friday 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time ,Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Weedbean, I just noticed you have an Asus P5Q motherboard. I'm not too sure about it being able to run Windows 8.1 properly as that OS is not listed anywhere on their support site for it. Microsoft states it's compatible but a download is required, though they fail to mention what it is. We used to see a lot of issues with this motherboard in World of Warcraft too that were ultimately resolved by the user updating their BIOS to the latest release. I'd strongly recommend you do that as well as what you have now is several releases older than their latest. You'll need to go to Asus' support site and navigate around to locate the BIOS file and an updating tool if needed. If you aren't sure how to go about updating the BIOS, do't do it as you can make the system unusable if you do it incorrectly. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Thursday 7 am - 4 pm Pacific Time, Friday 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time ,Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Weedbean, You might try installing this feature pack from Microsoft. It's for your Windows 8.1 N version and may clear up the capture device message. It may not resolve the overall crashing but it'll make me feel better if we can stop getting that message... _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Thursday 7 am - 4 pm Pacific Time, Friday 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time ,Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Weedbean, All right, at least I won't be chasing down something that's not the issue any more. Can you post another fresh D3Debug.txt file now please? _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Thursday 7 am - 4 pm Pacific Time, Friday 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time ,Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Weedbean, It's still stopping during the initializing process. Try either locating updated drivers for Windows 10 for your sound device or try disabling it in the device manager as a troubleshooting step. | Weedbean, I would get the system simplified as much as possible. When playing around with a beta OS like you're doing, you have to realize not all of the components you're using have been checked out to work with it. Drivers are the biggest issue. If you just want to play the game, I suggest using a supported OS so as not to have to go through this sort of thing. Your older hardware like the motherboard is also a concern. It was made long before Windows 10 was even contemplated by Microsoft or Asus. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Tuesday - Thursday 7 am - 4 pm Pacific Time, Friday 11 am - 8 pm Pacific Time ,Saturday 10 am - 7 pm Pacific Time Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
