The world of Sanctuary is a BIG place, defended by hundreds of thousands of heroes each and every day. To help you get to know some of these fellow nephalem a little better, we've created the Fresh Meat N' Greet.

The Fresh Meet N' Greet is a recurring series of interviews featuring you, our community. A few times each month, we'll sit down and chat with six different community members, one for each class, and then post our Q&As right here in these forums.

Up this week for Crusaders: Mikhail#1367

Read on below to find out more about your fellow ally in battle!

[GENERAL INFO]

Grimiku: Tell us a bit about yourself.

Mikhail: Hi, my name is Mikhail. You may know me as MeatHead Mikhail from my Youtube channel. I'm 31 and I have an 8 month old son who is a handful and a half but also my world.

Grimiku: Got any cool hobbies or talents?

Mikhail: I've been drawing since I was a kid and took a decade of professional art lessons. Haven't done much since graduating college (I'm a graphic designer), but I picked up bodybuilding shortly after and have been doing it since.

Grimiku: What is your history as a gamer?

Mikhail: I've been playing games since the original Gameboy/NES, though I didn't really get into PC gaming until I first got my hands on the original Wolfenstein and later Doom.

Grimiku: What are some of your favorite games?

Mikhail: Ninja Turtles 1 and Mortal Kombat 1, Doom 1/2, Half-Life 1/Counter-Strike, and every Blizzard game since WC1.

Grimiku: What’s your history with the Diablo franchise?

Mikhail: I hadn't heard of Diablo or the ARPG genre until a few months after original D2 release. I was at a 200-300 person LAN party participating in a Counter-Strike tournament when my friend introduced me to the game. I was immediately hooked (I started playing Barb) and spent the next 48 hours chugging Bawls, downing hot dogs, and progressing through the game.

Grimiku: You run a Youtube channel that’s frequently updated with content (including a lot of videos about Diablo). What made you decide to create this channel?

Mikhail: I've been in various fields and positions professionally in my life, including running a couple businesses. I've always had a passion for gaming but couldn't figure out a way to do it for a living. When I realized how much time I was spending on Diablo - coupled with a major dislike for my current job - I realized it was 'now or never' and that if I didn't go all in and start immediately, I would never do it and regret it for the rest of my life.

Grimiku: How do you decide what to base the content of your videos on?

Mikhail: Since I play all classes, it's part what I want to do myself (such as a solo greater rift progression series for each class), part what I see being asked all the time (how does gem X work?), and part things I'm curious about (like Death's Bargain pants ... sadly a bust). There's so much to do that I never run out of ideas, only time.

Grimiku: How do you balance the time between personal life, creating videos, and playing games?

Mikhail: Lots and lots of Red Bull. Seriously. Spending time with my family (fatherhood is no joke), working out, getting out of the house to stay sane - all takes more time than it seems. Viewers ask me how I can do all that, and besides cutting back on sleep where I can, my 'secret' to working and gaming is to combine them.

Grimiku: What's your most embarrassing moment while playing?

Mikhail: Taking a micro-nap on stream. I keep thinking there's a substitute for rest, but I am wrong.

Grimiku: Okay, what about your most AWESOME moment while playing?

Mikhail: Finishing a greater rift with only a couple seconds left on the clock!

[THE CRUSADE MARCHES ON]

Grimiku: What drew you to the Crusader?

Mikhail: Actually, I started RoS playing Wizard (Frozen Orb was pretty sick before being 'fixed' and my main was a Forb Sorc in D2). I followed various streamers and Youtubers as they messed around with the Crusader in beta/PTR and I agreed with their assessment - that the class wasn't ready at launch. It wasn't until it got an overhaul that I started playing it. My first build was Fire Fist of Heavens and I absolutely loved it (but my team didn't - this was before the reduction to visual clutter).

Grimiku: What kind of Crusader are you: do you wade into the thick of battle to crush your foes or call down the wrath of the heavens from afar?

Mikhail: After my experience with FoH I switched to Holy Shotgun, but didn't like the playstyle much so went to play other classes (Sentry DH mainly). Fast forward to Season 1 and I was extremely excited to play the Condemn build, which is my favorite Crusader spec to date. I can't wait to equip him with higher ranked gems and Ancient gear once the Season is done.

Grimiku: What's your favorite skill (or skill rune), and why?

Mikhail: Condemn/Unleashed with the proper build (Blade of Prophecy, Frydehr's Wrath) and Mirinae (Smite) gem. Why? Because 1-shotting everything in your path is just too satisfying.

Grimiku: What build are you running currently?

Mikhail: Condemn for Greater Rifts (don't do much T6 anymore), Double Bowmen with perma-horse using Swiftmount for lower difficulty speed Bounty farming. You basically ride through the entire Bounty at 175% move speed and everything dies.

Grimiku: If there was one thing you could change about the Crusader, what would it be?

Mikhail: Build Diversityâ„¢ of course! I think the Crusader overall is in a great spot and very unique and thematically appropriate. On a serious note, there are only 2 builds right now that are efficient for the Crusader - Condemn (holy) and Pony (physical). It would be nice to see at least moderately viable builds for the other damage types - cold, fire, and lightning. But most importantly, all the D2 Paladins want Blessed Hammer to actually be good!

Grimiku: Name one piece of advice that you think every Crusader should know.

Mikhail: 56% cooldown reduction.

Grimiku: What’s the next item you’re after, and how will it change your build?

Mikhail: Besides an Ancient Furnace which will make me want to play Pony build (and be useful for my Barb), an Ancient Blade of Prophecy makes me drool.

Grimiku: Pick a Crusader quote!

Mikhail: "Like chaff before the wind" because of the metaphorical and Biblical references, i.e. discarding something worthless.

[WHO'S NEXT?]

Grimiku: Which Crusader should we interview next?

Mikhail: Deadset and MannerCookie are the only popular Crusaders I know of. I watched a lot of MC's RoS beta content.

Grimiku: Pick a question to ask in the next interview:

Mikhail: What do you want next - Necromancer or Druid?
