Lightdemon: There’s not much to tell really. I’m probably as average and as boring as you can get. Married, got a toddler, 9-5 job, etc. I work in a very large hospital, so I guess (if we stretch the truth out a little) you can say that I save lives everyday, but thru prevention and not via heart surgery or anything dramatic like that. We must remember that the Mantra of saving lives is to not be in danger in the first place, so says a wise Monk.

Lightdemon: I haven’t had any real time to get back into my hobbies, but I do play a little guitar (self taught! Which basically means I am terrible). I like to play music from video game sound tracks. So things like “Gerudo Valley” from Zelda OoT, various themes in Chrono Trigger. Naruto OST is also very fun to play. You would think that I would be able to play the Tristram Theme on my guitar, but I cannot. I’ve tried. It’s just wayyyy too technical and as an amatuer guitarist I cannot pull it off. One day!

Lightdemon: I had first played Diablo when I was in high school and it was one of the toughest games I ever played. It was very different than the FF7 or the Street Fighter Alpha that I had on my PS1. The action RPG style was very interesting and oddly rewarding. I remember getting my first piece of plate armor and my character looked amazing!

Lightdemon: As a young gamer, I really enjoyed the classic RPGs, like: Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Secret of Mana, etc. Something about acquiring items and building up stats are really appealing to me. When I got into WoW, I was totally addicted to it. I was one of those that scheduled my day around my raid schedule. #collegelife

I had to quit because of subscription fees and of no life status. D3 is a happy substitute, though I do miss the questing and grinding gear aspect of the game. If I can target a specific piece of loot in D3 (more than what Kadala offers) I would be extremely happy.

I think Kadala should have separate categories when gambling for class weapons. I want to be able to target a Diabo, or a Xbow, Bow, 1H bow, Mighty Weapon, Dagger, Wand, etc.

Lightdemon: I have played other classes, sometimes out of curiosity, and sometimes because the Patch wasn’t very nice to Monks, but my main interest has always been in the Monk class. In S2, I am going to be pretty happy building up a new Monk.

Lightdemon: Solo mostly. I had a group of friends that played religiously at least 3-4 nights a week. The game was in a very bad state after RoS launched and I am the only one left playing. I play solo not because I don’t like to play in groups, but it’s because of time constraints and not being able to pause my game really makes it impossible for me to play (toddler agro!).

Lightdemon: One time I had to afk, so I went back to town and walked away. When I came back my toon was dead. Apparently, my friends thought it would have been hilarious to kite monsters into town to kill me. Luckily that was patched! So I can AFK with peace in mind.

Lightdemon: Very early on in the game (probably 3 months from launch), I had picked up a Desolator Wand that rolled really well. It netted me over $200 on RMAH! At that point, there was no question about me getting expansions to D3. My gaming budget has been covered!

The idea of a hero that uses agility to dodge and attack is very awesome. I’m very disappointed that Dodge is no longer a defining characteristic for Monks. IMHO, that was a very bad move. It took away a lot of the flavor that drew me to the monk in the first place.

Lightdemon: Inner Sanctuary: Forbidden Palace because it is an extremely effective support skill. Reducing 55% damage and boosting damage by 30%? What’s not to like?

What would REALLY make this an awesome skill is to make the Sanctuary follow the monk, so that the buff moves with the caster. S3 legendary item? Hmm? Hmm?

Lightdemon: When I start my S2 Monk, I will be aiming for a SWK/Gungdo/TR build. I’m leaning toward Lightning for GRs, and Fire for T6 grind. Bells are quite fun, but it seems overplayed.

Lightdemon: Bring back Dodge! Make runes and passives that interact with dodge. For example, whenever you successfully dodge an attack:

You get a movement speed boost
You get a damage increase to the next attack you make
You get a defense increase for the next 2 or 3 seconds
You get a back an amount of health
You get more dodge!

There should be rewards for the Monk who specializes in dodge. The reason why dodge was terrible was because it didn’t perform well against armor/all res. It wasn’t reliable and it inflated our Toughness values. There should have been a buff to dodge, it shouldn’t have been taken off from the equation.
