Same issue.
It's either that or, when i restart the computer, 'initializing' forever, but never starts to update.

The game has been waiting on another installation or update for 5 hours now...All my other games are up to date (WoW, Star Craft, Hearthstone). I do not understand why the patch will not start for D3?...
Same issue.Initializing forever or waiting on another message. After today's patch update. Selective start not working This is what is happening,after selective start..shows initializing and fetching patch manifest..codes etc for a few seconds but then stuck at initializing.Won't go forward.So i paused for a second and then again resumed,now it shows waiting on another installation or update. I have had this issue before,but it was solved with selective startup.It showed from the beginning waiting message.Now it shows that message once u pause and try to resume.If u don't its stays on initializing forever. Plz help. | ||

| austerlitz, That's odd. If you solved it before with selective startup, it means another application was blocking it. Not everything will be prevented from running with selective startup enabled though.
